Istanbul

Well here we are in Turkey, Took a shuttle bus from airport, thought they were having us on with the price, But we had 1 1/2 hr tour all round this huge city. Nice to meet the rest of the group, all interesting people kiwis!! mainly from Auckland area.\Judy our leader has been with Grassroots for 16yrs, so is an old hand. The call of the Koran is just outside our hotel, and the nearby beautiful Blue mosque. We are in teh old city close to all the historical places. had a very interesting local guide for the day yesterday. Today we walked to the waterfront and went on the Bosphorus sea, a small ferry to ourselves. Then went to the Spice Bazaar, and the Grand bazaar. phew!! people jostling everwhere. Then caught teh tram home, crammed in like sardines!!
